If you love choral singing and want a rewarding experience, we invite you to audition for our choir! You will delve into classical vocal literature while supporting underfunded music programs. What is in the audition process?
The audition process should take about 10 to 12 minutes in total.
During that time, prospective choristers will undergo the following:
A warm up exercise or two to determine vocal range and strong areas of the voice
A short, unaccompanied sight-reading example, provided to you at the audition
A prepared excerpt from a choral piece listed below.
The Audition excerpts will be from Josef Rheinberger’s “Abendlied”
The sections of the score to be learned are underlined and marked.
Sopranos will need to learn the Soprano II part from measures 36 to the end of the piece.
Altos will need to learn measures 22 to 32.
Tenors will need to learn the Tenor I part from measures 10 to 18.
Basses will need to learn measures 33 to the end of the piece.

Rehearsal Location and General Information
The Appassionato Choir rehearses on Sunday evenings from 5:00pm to 7:30pm
at the Norcross First Global Methodist Church

The choir performs three different concert sets per season with two performances per set.
